{"id":112,"date":"2011-11-30T00:40:31","date_gmt":"2011-11-30T00:40:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/?page_id=112"},"modified":"2012-02-04T21:56:31","modified_gmt":"2012-02-04T21:56:31","slug":"design-of-wastewater-system-napa-ca","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/?page_id=112","title":{"rendered":"Design of Wastewater System: Napa, CA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/westenvironmental.com.previewdns.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-113\" title=\"lake_berryessa\" src=\"http:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa-201x151.jpg 201w, https:\/\/westenvironmental.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/lake_berryessa.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>In Lake Berryessa, WEST provided design engineering and permitting for the expansion of the Putah Creek Resort wastewater disposal system.\u00a0 Putah Creek Resort is a concessionaire of the United States Bureau of Reclamation located on Lake Berryessa in Napa County, California.\u00a0 The Resort includes approximately 150 mobile homes, 27 motel units, 80 camp sites, a store and restaurant.\u00a0 The Resort operates their own water supply and wastewater collection and disposal systems.\u00a0 Historical operational problems led to releases of wastewater in violation of the State regulations.<\/p>\n<p>WEST conducted extensive studies of the existing wastewater collection and disposal system to identify contributions of infiltration and inflow and limitation to disposal capacity.\u00a0 Studies were also required to demonstrate that the system could be operated without impacts to human health and the environment.<\/p>\n<p>WEST modeled the aerosol transport and was able to demonstrate that the disposal system would not have detrimental impacts.\u00a0 Based on the studies, WEST designed and permitted the expansion of the pond system, replacement of the lift station pumps, and installation of in-pond evaporative spray system that has met disposal capacity requirements.
